DMC Ushuaia

Ushuaia, known as the Fin del Mundo (End of the World), is located in the southern most province of Argentina. Often associated as the launching point for Antarctic Cruises, Ushuaia is also a destination all of its own. This area is known as Tierra del Fuego, Land of Fire, whose name originates from Ferdinand Magellan’s first voyage to this isolated inlet. Ushuaia is also located in the southern most area of Patagonia. Not quite as famous as its counterparts of Torres del Paine, El Calafate and El Chalten, Ushuaia receives far less visitors per year. The highlights of Ushuaia are Tierra del Fuego National Park, phenomenal trekking, the Beagle Channel and its incredible wildlife that includes a penguin colony, dining on centolla (Southern King Crab), sampling the famed Argentine wine & barbeque and visiting one of the many artisanal chocolatiers downtown. Ushuaia is one of our favorite travel destinations and is the perfect locale for adventure enthusiasts!
