Our private family expedition has been enjoying their exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Thank you to our guide, Erick Salas, for sending in these beautiful pictures!
Today is quite the busy day at Peru Eco Expeditions. We have guests trekking to the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge via our Luxury 2-Day Inca Trail experience, another indulging on the Hiram Bingham train and yet another private group exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas! As always, Daniel and I are so thankful for everyone traveling safely right now and supporting local businesses!
Andes to Amazon.....♥️
August 1 marks the beginning of the Andean New Year. The entire month of August is dedicated to honoring Pachamama, Mother Earth. In Cusco, the shamans come down from the remote mountain communities to perform despacho ceremonies. These ceremonies are offerings to Pachamama to express gratitude and rebalance natural harmony.
Río Yoyato is an absolutely stunning turquoise river located in the Alto Urubamba region of the Peruvian Amazon. We had an absolute blast exploring this area over the last few days!
The last few days we have been exploring the Alto Urubamba River, which is an absolutely beautiful section of the Amazon. SUPing Pongo de Mainique was definitely a highlight and one of the most amazing things we have ever done!
